QyrosCloud engineered a serverless embedded insurance platform on AWS that enables SaaS providers to offer white-label insurance products within their applications. The platform features a dynamic carrier rules engine, AI-driven automation, and real-time policy quoting — reducing carrier integration time from weeks to hours and cutting customer acquisition costs by up to 75%.

The Challenge

What was at stake.

The client's core product vision was a white-label insurance widget that SaaS providers could integrate directly into their platforms — allowing end users to get covered in context, at the moment of need, without friction.

Behind that concept lay an industry built on legacy infrastructure, inconsistent data standards, and strict regulatory requirements. Turning the vision into reality meant solving deep technical, operational, and compliance challenges simultaneously.

01
Regulatory Constraints
The client couldn't sell policies directly. Every transaction needed to flow through licensed brokers while maintaining full auditability at every step of the chain.
02
Carrier Fragmentation
Some carriers had modern APIs. Most didn't. Legacy systems relied on XML payloads, ACORD forms, or email-based communication — with no standardized integration path available.
03
Data Inconsistency
Every carrier used its own question sets, validation rules, and acknowledgment formats. There was no unified schema to build against across the carrier set.
04
Operational Friction
Claims and mid-term policy changes were still processed through Excel sheets and email inboxes — creating delays, errors, and compliance gaps with every manual handoff.
05
Scalability and Security
The platform had to handle millions of concurrent users across multiple SaaS partners while remaining HIPAA and PII compliant across jurisdictions.

Customer perspective

The client didn't need an app. They needed a way to make insurance move through digital ecosystems the way modern software should — instantly, compliantly, and without friction. We built the infrastructure that made that possible.

Our Approach

How we solved it.

QyrosCloud engineered the platform around one principle: dynamic adaptability. Rather than hardcoding every carrier or broker flow, we built a system capable of learning and reconfiguring itself as the ecosystem evolves — so adding a new carrier or SaaS partner never requires a rebuild.

01
Dynamic White-Label Widget

A React-based, fully multi-tenant insurance widget deployed via AWS CloudFront for global performance and low latency.

  • Auto-adjusts branding, UI, and flow per SaaS partner at runtime — no redeploys required
  • Supports embedded, SDK, and API integration paths
  • White-labeled per partner with zero engineering overhead on the partner side
02
Dynamic Carrier Rules Engine

A JSON-driven rules engine that interprets each carrier's underwriting logic, data structure, and workflow — and updates automatically when carriers modify their processes.

  • Handles quoting, binding, endorsements, and claims across all connected carriers
  • Reduces carrier integration time from weeks to hours
  • Turns rigid, inconsistent legacy carrier APIs into flexible, data-driven configurations
03
AI-Driven Automation Layer

Where carriers lacked APIs entirely, AI bridged the gap — eliminating manual workflows without sacrificing compliance or audit trail integrity.

  • AI Form Filler: Auto-completes ACORD and carrier-specific forms from the platform's unified data schema in seconds, replacing a process that previously required manual entry per carrier
  • AI Communication Agent: Parses inbound carrier emails and Excel-based data, extracting and syncing policy information automatically and securely
04
Serverless AWS-Native Infrastructure

Built entirely on AWS-native services for auto-scaling, zero downtime, and global latency under 200ms.

  • AWS Lambda + API Gateway for event-driven compute and routing
  • Amazon Aurora (RDS) for relational data with read replicas for performance
  • AWS Step Functions + SQS for workflow orchestration and queue management
  • AWS WAF + IAM + encryption for data security and access control
  • AWS X-Ray + CloudWatch for full observability, tracing, and debugging

From our engineering team

“This engagement required us to balance speed with compliance rigor. We deployed infrastructure-as-code from day one, automated evidence collection across the environment, and delivered a production-ready architecture that passed security review on the first attempt.”

Impact

The results speak for themselves.

By abstracting the complexity of a fragmented insurance ecosystem into a single, adaptable platform, QyrosCloud enabled the client to launch an embedded insurance infrastructure product that would have taken years to build through conventional approaches — and delivered it at a price point and timeline that enterprise-grade platforms cannot match. The platform is now live across multiple SaaS verticals, operating at scale, and positioned at the infrastructure layer of one of the fastest-growing distribution channels in insurance.

Up to 75% Reduction in Customer Acquisition Cost
By embedding insurance at the point of sale inside existing SaaS workflows, the platform enables distribution economics that traditional channels cannot match. Industry data from the Open & Embedded Insurance Observatory shows embedded insurance APIs reduce customer acquisition costs by up to 75% — from an average of $200 down to $50 per customer — while conversion rates reach 10–20% compared to 1–3% through conventional channels.
Carrier Integration Time Reduced from Weeks to Hours
The dynamic rules engine eliminates custom carrier integration work, compressing timelines dramatically and making the platform scalable across any carrier set without incremental engineering investment.
Manual Carrier Workflows Eliminated
AI automation replaced Excel-based and email-based carrier communications — in line with industry benchmarks showing AI workflow automation delivers up to 65% reduction in operational costs across insurance onboarding and policy management workflows.
Compliance-Embedded by Design
Full audit trail across every broker-routed transaction, HIPAA and PII compliant, built to meet regulatory scrutiny from day one — not bolted on after the fact.
Platform Positioned in a $68B Market
The embedded insurance market is projected to grow from $13.88 billion in 2025 to $68.12 billion by 2031 at a 30% CAGR, with online and API-first distribution already commanding 76% of market share. The client is positioned at the infrastructure layer of this shift — with a platform built for adaptability and designed for the pace of modern SaaS distribution.
